Hayden Nicky-Superbike biography Hayden Nicky started racing in age of six, but as many other riders he did it on the dirt track bikes. Hayden started his motorcycle road-racing career in 1998, when he contested AMA 600 SuperSport championship and AMA 750 SuperSport series, and finished fourth overall in both classes. In 1999, Hayden became youngest 600 champion of all times, and also finished second in Formula Xtreme Series.
Nicky Hayden entered American Superbike series in 2000 with Honda and finished his debut season 2nd in overall standings. In 2001, Hayden was third before taking AMA Superbike title in 2002. In his three year AMA Superbike career he has made 17 wins.

Hayden finished his first ever season in MotoGP world championship in 5th place, and took the title of the rookie of the year. This year he also made his first podium finish in Philip Island, where he was third.
Hayden Nicky stayed with factory Honda team in 2004, year of many expectations from him. In this season, Hayden got another experienced team-mate, Alex Barros. However, Hayden was unable to materialize expectations, and ended 2004 season in 7th place in championship, with total of 117 points. Best result for Hayden in 2004 was two third places, in Brazil and Germany. Best qualifying result for Hayden was second place in Italy, but he did not had chance to materialize it as he did not started this race.

Despite having at least poor 2004 season with Honda factory team, Honda once again shown faith in Nicky Hayden by giving him another factory ride, this time with new team-mate, Italian Max Biaggi. Biaggi was expected to be main title pretender in 2005, putting pressure off the back of Nicky Hayden. However, season 2005 proved as tough challenge to Italian, with Hayden finishing higher than team-mate in championship.
Start of the 2005 was tough for Hayden, as he did not finished first race in Spain, and then set string of average results in first half of the season (mostly outside top 5). However, breakthrough in Career of Nicky Hayden came on his home soil, in Laguna Seca, where he scored first victory in his MotoGP career. It seems that this victory helped Hayden to re-gain confidence, as he scored 5 podium finishes in last 9 races of the season. Hayden eventually finished 2005 season in 3rd place in general standings, collecting 206 points.
