Colin Edwards-250ccm biography Colin Edwards started racing in 1991 in USA riding in the 600, 750 and 250 classes and winning every race he finished. This great debut allowed him to grab official Yamaha team bike in 1992 and finish season as national champion, wining his first professional race in Daytona. Colin Edwards-Superbike biography In 1993, Colin Edwards moved to AMA Superbike championship and finished 6th. In 1994 he won 3 races in AMA SBK championship and finished season sixth overall. Colin Edwards entered World Superbike championship in 1995 with factory Yamaha team and finished season as 11th. He was better in 1996, when he finished season 5th and won Suzuka 8 hour race. Because of injury in 1997, Colin Edwards lost most of the season and finished season 12th. His progress started in 1998, when he finished season 5th with Castrol Honda Team. Next season was even better for Colin Edwards and Castrol Honda Team, when he took 2nd World Superbike championship position. Crown of Colin Edwards career came in 2000, when he took World Superbike Championship title aboard HondaVTR 1000 (RC51). Edwards was unable to defend title in 1991, when he finished second in World Superbike Championship, but title was his again in 1992 when he won it in last race with one point advantage. In this season Edwards was struggling with nervous Aprilia, and finished season as low as 13th.
