Troy Bayliss wins Qatar opening Superbike raceTwo time World Superbike champion, Troy Bayliss, won first WSBK race of 2008 season that took place in Qatar, after having not so good start of the race and numerous heart stopping off-track excursions. Max Biaggi, who seemed like being able once again to start season with victory, had to settle in second, as he lost first place in closing stages of the race. Troy Corser was missing edge for better than 3rd, while Ruben Xaus just missed podium in race 1. Max Neukirchner completed top 5 finishers in Losail today, after leading race in opening stages and proving why he got factory Suzuki ride. Carlos Checa, ex MotoGP rider, ended race in 6th in his WSBK debut.
