2007-11-15 Vermeulen tests in all conditions in Sepang
Be first to comment this story
Rizla Suzuki MotoGP had to cut short its testing programme at Sepang in Malaysia today as heavy rain brought an early end to the proceedings. Chris Vermeulen (203.357, 44 laps) was able to continue with his initial tests of the 2008 prototype version of the Suzuki GSV-R and produced the second quickest time of the day in the dry conditions. He also conducted a wet weather tyre test for Bridgestone when the rain began to fall and was pleased with the overall results of the new bike in all conditions.
New Team-Member Loris Capirossi (203.748, 30 laps) continued to acquaint himself with the performance and handling of the 2007 GSV-R during his second test onboard a Suzuki, and recorded the fifth fastest time. Capirossi had planned to test the 2008 version of the bike today, but the rain meant he was unable to do so and now plans to ride the prototype of next years machine tomorrow.
Rizla Suzuki MotoGP has two more days of testing at Sepang, and a full report of the weeks events will appear on this site shortly after the test has finished on Saturday.
