Rossi rides Subaru Impreza in Rally New ZealandValentino Rossi continued his progress in rally today, as he improved 11 places in rally New Zealand. In day 1 of rally New Zealand, Valentino Rossi ended as 24th overall, almost 11 minutes behind leader, Finland's Marcus Gronholm. Anyway, Rossi managed to fulfill his main goal - to bring his privately entered Subaru Impreza to the finish.

After day 1, Rossi was satisfied with achieved results:
It was OK. We had some fun and we are still going. I had a little bit of a spin. It was more slippery than I thought, I was very cautious but we have arrived at the end of the day so it is not so bad.

In day 2 of Rally New Zealand, Rossi improved his feeling with car and upped his pace, finishing second day as 13th overall. After day 2, Rossi is 16 minutes and 45.9 seconds bahind leader Marcus Gronholm. Best result of the day for Rossi came in the second run through the Mystery Creek super special, when he was seventh fastest. Once again, Rossi claimed to be satisfied with results on day 2:
Stage nine was one of the best - it was really flowing and it is really fantastic when it is quick [like that]. I have driven well but I lost the car in one corner and I had had a spin and that cost me about 30 seconds. The next stage was good too. The camber is perfect on these roads, I love it. I'm having fun - the car is perfect.
