2006-10-01 Superbike: Barros wins mainden race, Bayliss wins championship
News overview:
After four podium finishes in his debut season in World Superbike series, Brazilian Alex Barros finally took highest step on the podium at race 1 in Imola. Barros started race 1 at Imola from 8th place on the grid, had another bad start as we saw many times this season, and then made his way through the field to his first World Superbike victory.
