2007-08-18 Stoner sweeps competitors for 3rd consecutive pole

It must be quite painful for competitors of Casey Stoner to look how easy he takes victories in every stage of the weekend, doing this weekend after weekend for some time now. Today we saw another episode of relaxed Stoner sweeping competitors to take third consecutive pole position of the season, despite having brake problems on his Ducati Desmosedici during the session. Nicky Hayden defended honour of Michelin in Brno today, riding his RC212V to the limits to make middle position in front row. Dani Pedrosa ended qualifying in strong 3rd place, just 0.015 seconds of his team-mate.
John Hopkins set 4th time of the day, crashing in last attempt to improve his time, but fortunantelly escaping without injuries. Randy de Puniet had another strong qualifying session and set 5th time, in front of Valentino Rossi, who was unable to find speed to qualify better than 6th. Loris Capirossi failed to transform great free practice form to equaly good qualifying result by taking 7th place on the grid. Chris Vermeulen was 8th fastest today, in front of Colin Edwards in 9th. Sylvian Guintoli completed top 10 qualifiers today, riding impressive through the session.
Marco Melandri was unable to participate in qualifying today, meaning that he will miss MotoGP race tomorrow due to accute neck pain that bothered Italian from first free practice.
