 Malaysian MotoGP race was the place for various celebrations for Fiat Yamaha riders - Valentino Rossi taking symbolic victory number 46 with Yahama, while Jorge Lorenzo secured MotoGP title by taking 3rd place in the race. Rossi managed to make come-back that reminds on his glorious days, as he found way to the victory from the 11th position in first corner. Jorge Lorenzo on the other hand had great start, but as he was caught first by Dovizioso and then by Rossi, he decided to ride safely to his first MotoGP title. Dovizioso has taken his second consecutive 2nd place after great battle with Valentino Rossi.
Ben Spies was fast again, taking 4th place after careful start. Alvaro Bautista was best Suzuki once again, as he scored fantastic 5th place after exciting battle also involving Marco Simoncelli, Hiroshi Aoyama and Nicky Hayden. Nicky Hayden was 6th, while Aoyama scored fantastic 7th place while still recovering from serious injuries. Marco Simonceli, Marco Melandri and Randy de Puniet completed top 10 finishers in Sepang.
