Be first to comment this story

Rossi wins in Sepang heatValentino Rossi took another brilliant victory, 9th this season, in a scorching heat of Sepang. Dani Pedrosa, who took holeshot from pole position, led first part of the race, while Rossi dropped to third position few corners after the start. However, Rossi found his rhythm and quickly managed to return to second position, trailing Pedrosa in first half of the race. After he found his way through, Rossi pooled away and finished race 4 seconds in front of Pedrosa. Andrea Dovizioso, who has shown some great rides so far this season, this time managed to defend his third position in race long battle with Nicky Hayden, taking his first ever MotoGP podium.

Nicky Hayden lost fight for 3rd position from the same rider that will replace him in his Repsol Honda team in 2009, once again showing great fighting spirit and making great entertainment for the crowd. Shinya Nakano was trailing fight for 3rd place closely from 5th, but never demonstrated enough aggression and determination to fight for it, despite obviously having enough speed. Casey Stoner finished race in 6th place, in front of Loris Capirossi who ended in 7th. Colin Edwards took 8th place, in front of Chris Vermeulen who managed take away 9th place from Randy De Puniet.
