2007-06-23 Perfect qualifying for Fiat Yamaha at Donington

 Colin Edwards today at Donington Park took second pole position of this year, snatching it from his team-mate, Valentino Rossi, who qualified in second. However, pole position was still around 0.9 seconds shy of time set last year by Dani Pedrosa, who qualified as third at Donington today.
Nicky Hayden qualified 4th, making another break-through of this weekend and showing that improvements of his RC212V may be materialized in tomorrow's race. Championship leader, Casey Stoner, qualified in 5th place, and was not to happy with this result, despite still being close enough to fight for top spot tomorrow. John Hopkins qualified in respectable 6th place.
Carlos Checa brought another Honda in decent qualifying position, 7th, in front of Kawasaki of Randy de Puniet. Team-mates Melandri and Elias completed top ten qualifiers in Donington today.
