Be first to comment this story
Dani Pedrosa took dominant victory in Italian Grand Prix, leading race from first to last lap and never giving chance to his opponents. Jorge Lorenzo was way off the pace set by Pedrosa in the race, despite the fact that he had much better pace in practice session. Instead of fighting for victory, Jorge Lorenzo had to take care about second place, which was threatened by Andrea Dovizioso, especially in the first part of the race. At the end, Lorenzo Finished in second, while Dovizioso settled in 3rd place.
Battle for 4th place was most interesting part of the race, as Stoner, De Puniet and Melandri had race-long battle. Eventually, Stoner took control and finished in 4th, scoring some valuable points after disappointments in previous races. Marco Melandri finished in 5th, while De Puniet took season best finish in 6th. American star Ben Spies had promising start of the race, but soon started loosing places and finished in 7th place. Aleix Espargaro took respectable 8th place in front of Marco Simoncelli, who had off-track excursion at the start of the race. Loris Capirossi completed top 10 finishers in Mugello.
