2007-11-03 Guintoli fastest in third free practice in Valencia

 Sylvain Guintoli once again used advantage of unlimited Dunlop tyre supplies to set fastest time in third free practice in Valencia today. Guintoli set time of 1.32.670, which was still slower than pole position record set last year by Rossi. Casey Stoner continued consistently good form by setting time of 1.33.132, which was slower than his best time from FP2, but enough to put him to second position. Dani Pedrosa took same place as yesterday, closing gap to Casey Stoner to only 0.104 seconds.
Alex Barros demonstrated high pace on satelitte Ducati and set 4th fastest time of third free practice session, in front of another Bridgestone rider, Marco Melandri. Loris Capirossi has significantly improved position to 6th, in front of Randy de Puniet. Duo of Suzuki riders in 8th and 10th, Hopkins and Vermeulen, sandwiched Colin Edwards in 9th place.
Troubles of Valentino Rossi continued in FP3, as he was unable to find grip from his Michelin tyres and had to settle in 11th place. Similar problems bothered another ex-champion, Nicky Hayden, who ended FP3 in 14th place. Chaz Davis was able to return to the track today and made 23 laps, but still being slowest of all riders participating in FP3.
