2008-05-03 Edwards grabs pole position in Shanghai

 Colin Edwards once again shown fantastic qualifying performance, taking his 3rd pole position in career, also continuing 2008 all-Yamaha pole tradition. Edwards set new track record in Shanghai of 1:58.139, which is 0.355 seconds faster than time of second placed Valentino Rossi. Casey Stoner continued with good form and qualified in 3rd, also showing great race-pace that will for sure put him in front of the race tomorrow.
Jorge Lorenzo rider through pain barrer to snatch 4th place on the grid, also demonstrating decent race-pace, which shows that he also may be up-front tomorrow. Dani Pedrosa qualified 5th, which does not reflect fantastic race-setup which he found in practice. Loris Capirossi was 6th fastest today, in front of James Toseland in 7th place. Chris Vermeulen was close to his team-mate in 8th place. Randy de Puniet put his satelitte Honda in front of factory Honda of Nicky Hayden, who completed top 10 qualifiers in Shanghai.
