Andrea Dovizioso in box in MugelloAfter the Italian GP at Mugello last Sunday, the MotoGP circus moves to Spain to race on Sunday June 8th at the GP of Catalunya on the Barcelona circuit. JiR Team Scot is ready to confirm the positive signals shown by Andrea Dovizioso in MotoGP. The Spanish track is characterized by a long straight just a kilometer long and a sweeping corner that requires delicate development of the chassis. Andrea Dovizioso is motivated to improve his position in the championship rankings supported by the confidence that he has with the Barcelona circuit that in the last three seasons has seen him always on the podium with one victory and two third positions.

Andrea Dovizioso
I go to Barcelona to get a good result and improve on the performance of Mugello. The track I enjoy and I feel I can have a good race there. The circuit I like very much and I have taken some good points and finishes from this place before, so this could be another chance to do well again and maybe move up another position in the championship ranking. Technically this is a circuit that requires careful development of the chassis for riding on the fast and long corners that stress also the tyres. We must work with commitment like always but I see that we are getting better race by race and Barcelona could be a good point to start our recovery.

Cirano Mularoni – JiR Team Scot Team Manager
I think for the the Catalunya GP our riders are highly motivated. After Mugello I see them both hoping to do well for different reasons but with only one aim which is the same: to improve their performance and to look to the top of the standings. From the start of the championship the riders and the team have been growing together and getting more confidence and this help them to work better and identify faster the right solutions to adopt. Andrea has to get the right confidence with the qualifying tyres but during the race he has proved to be on the same step as the leaders. Yuki had a crash in Mugello but he was fighting for the top positions and this is good. Overall this is a positive situation that encourages us to do the best we can.
