Dani Pedrosa demolishes competitors in SachsenringDani Pedrosa finally earned victory for Honda in 2007, dominating thrilling race at Sachsenring from the start. Pedrosa had fantastic start from second place on the grid, leading complete race, being only threatened in opening laps by Casey Stoner. However, pace of Spanish star proved to be too high for his competitors, and he finished race 13.166 seconds in front of Loris Capirossi, which is largest wining margin this season. Loris Capirossi rode steady race to second place, finishing higher than his team mate for first time this season. Repsol Honda success was completed by Nicky Hayden, who took second consecutive podium finish, making great comeback from 14th on the grid.

Colin Edwards was another rider to make comeback from distant grid position, 13th, finishing race right behind Hayden. Casey Stoner missed chance to make maximum of Valentino Rossi retirement as he finished race in 5th place, extending championship lead to 32 points. Marco Melandri, who looked as certain podium finisher in first part of the race, eventually finished in 6th place. John Hopkins was unable to finish in his usuall 5th place, from which he was re-delegated by Melandri and Stoner, but continued to score valuable points in 7th place.

Anthony West has told before race that his goal is to improve results from last race and he did it by finishing 8th. Excellent result from Kawasaki rookie and we hope that he will be able to continue in same manner in following races and land a MotoGP ride in 2008. Alex Hofmann scored another top 10 finish on his home track, in front of Michel Fabrizio, who ended in respectable 10th place in his wild-card appearance aboard Rizla Suzuki.

Man who will try to forget Sachsenring as soon as possible will definetelly be Valentino Rossi. Rossi crashed in lap 5, while trying to overtake de Puniet for 6th place, in another comeback ride after carefull start. He is now 32 points behind Stoner, and next week MotoGP is moving to Laguna Seca, place where we did not see Rossi having great results in the past.
