2008-10-26  Casey Stoner season 2008 with victory

Casey Stoner wins race in ValenciaCasey Stoner sealed 2008 MotoGP season with another dominant victory, finishing about 3.5 seconds in front of Dani Pedrosa. Pedrosa was initial race leader, but he lost first place after just few corners, and from that point never really had chance to regain it. Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi had lot of work to do starting from 10th place on the grid, so after number of passes he settled in 3rd.

Andrea Dovizioso ended race in 4th place, once again fighting for that place with Nicky Hayden. After trying hard to leave Honda with best possible result, Nicky Hayden eventually finished race in 5th place. Colin Edwards, after great start and ride in leading group, ended his usual place losing session in 6th. Shinya Nakano once again placed his Honda high in 7th place, in front of Rookie of the year, Jorge Lorenzo, who made his way to the 8th. Loris Capirossi ended race in 9th place, while Alex De Angelis completed top 10 finishers in Valencia.

Casey Stoner brought second place in constructor championship to Ducati, Jorge Lorenzo secured title of the Rookie of the year, and season is settled now. However, for MotoGP teams new season begins tomorrow as most of them stay in Valencia to test their 2009. MotoGP machines.
