2008-03-08 Casey Stoner fastest in FP3, Lorenzo still closest

Casey Stoner did not allowed his competitors to surprise him in third free practice, as he once again set fastest time of the practice. He was again followed from close distance by Jorge Lorenzo, who performed much better than in last Losail test, and who outpaced his superstar team-mate, Valentino Rossi, by 0.299 seconds. Rossi on the other hand managed to improve not so great performance from yesterday, keeping hopes alive for tomorrow. Alex De Angelis was another rookie in the top, in front of Colin Edwards and Andrea Dovizioso. Dani Pedrosa recovered enough to take 7th spot, in front of Chris Vermeulen and Randy de Puniet. James Toseland completed top 10 riders in third free practice.
