2006-10-27  Capirossi fastest in FP2 in Valencia

Capirossi fastest in fp2 in ValenciaLoris Capirossi was fastest man of the second practice session in Valencia today. Capirossi set fastest time of the day in last attempt, and it seems that qualifying tyre was involved in this attempt, as well as for De Puniet in secon and Vermeulen in 3rd. However, qualifying lap record set by Gibernau in 2005 stayed intact today.

Nicky Hayden continued with progress from FP1 and set his fastest time in the middle of a long run, showing that he has decent race pace for Sunday. Casey Stoner was just around 0.06 seconds slower than Hayden, but faster than Pedrosa in 6th place.

Valentino Rossi, who was fastest in FP1, set 7th fastest time in FP2, but despite that he also shown decent race pace. John Hopkins was 8th fastest, in front of Shinya Nakano. Troy Bayliss completed top 10 fastest FP2 riders.
